I had a few sexual relationships before we married that gave me complexes about “intimacy.” (I put it in quotations because what I had previously experienced was not intimacy the way it is in a godly marriage.) My husband was patient with me as we worked through those issues. Thankfully over time I have been able to truly experience what God has intended for sex to be. I know what making love means and how incredible the connection can be when you completely give yourself to your spouse in the most vulnerable way possible. We are able to communicate about what we like or don’t like and we can laugh at the awkward and funny moments. Sex was good when we were first married but it keeps getting better and better as we grow together. I am so very thankful that my husband loves my body, loves having sex with me, and loves all the parts that I am insecure about but turns him on. I am his “minx” and he is my “hunky man.” Yes, very thankful for what God created and what He has blessed me with in my marriage.
