Who actually uses the word “poppycock”? Why, I do. And not only “poppycock”; I have even been known to respond to stupid statements with a derisive “Piffle!”

However, the last time I used such harsh language, I was told that I needed to have my mouth washed with soap. When I responded with the fact that I’d just showered, I was told that I’d “missed a spot.”
