Ngina, thank you. Beauty is an issue I struggle with intensely. So many folks counsel me to start looking at myself the way God does, that God made everything beautiful, that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, to focus less on the outside and more on the inside….. You know all the cliches. I’d love to feel beautiful, but there is a laundry list of imperfections I see at all times (but I’ll spare you.)

But I’m growing so tired of it all! I’m growing tired of how I feel. I want to feel beautiful, but I don’t know how and so I feel stuck.

BUT! When I read this line you wrote… “Still say, “I believe who you say I am God even if I don’t feel it now.” ” It leapt off the page at me. I can do that! That is something I can say! And pray! Thank you, thank you for giving me a jumping off place!!

Ngina, I love this statement: ” society seems to think that parents should allow their kids to discover who they are and go with whatever they find.” And it speaks to many of the challenges we see facing families.
