You can also watch the ‘Christmas episodes’ of favourite tv shows. The Bones Christmas episode in season 3, (episode 9) is one of my favourite Bones episodes. Also, for a decidedly funny, Very Australian Christmas, check out the series Moody Christmas. It’s very Aussie, but if you like that kind of humour, then you really can’t beat it! There are some ‘adult themes’ and also not-very-Christian behaviour in it though, although I don’t think there’s any nudity!

Hubby and I always dance to the ‘Christmas Waltz’, in the lounge room, with just the Christmas lights on. That is one of my favourite things about the Christmas season, as I love dancing, and hubby really doesn’t, but he indulges me for Christmas!

I love that you mentioned Die Hard. If I were to mention watching any of those movies to my wife, she would just look at me and laugh.
Between the two of us, I’m more of the sentimental one that likes nostalgic and dramatic movies than she is. Not that I don’t like my fair share of action, but that is definitely her preference!

Nice ideas. I just wish our churches (ok, mine) wouldn’t make this season so hard on our marriages by planning so much extra stuff and expecting us to be involved in all of it. It really is exhausting. I feel like I’m more sensitive to it since I’ve been in such a fight for my marriage.

One of the first things I do when we get our Christmas stuff out to hang up is to get the mistletoe and hang it on the wall in our bedroom right over the bed. I do have priorities.

My own wife asked me today when we were at a restaurant “Is there anything you really want for Christmas?” I just looked up from what I was doing and stared at her for a second before she said “Besides that.”
