Today during prayer at my Church our Pastor spoke the verese you shared from Isiah with regard to prayer for Harvey victims. It was nice to recognize it and its significance Thanks for sharing that. I thought of you and your blog and prayed that since we have not heard from you that your plight is that you are very busy helping others rather than having issues of your own related to the storm and its aftermath. My buddy was not so lucky yet God provided. I am looking forward to hearing your stories of faith from this event. I hope you are well

J, my husband and I are praying for you and your family. We have immediate and extended family in Southeast TX who are also being hit hard by the storm. we live up North now, and we hate not being able to help in a practical sense. But we are praying, and will continue to.

We’re at the other end of the area, in Katy. J, please stay safe, and we are praying for you. Our verse of the day popped up this morning and was very encouraging. 2 Cor. 1:3-4, about God comforting us so we can share that comfort with others. I also pray that God will show His glory through this, and His people will show His love. Thanks for all you do for our marriages.

Oh, goodness. All my favorite bloggers live in Texas! I just read the book about the Galveston hurricane at the turn of the century. Absolutely horrific, and a very vulnerable area, probably even today. Exactly what Wayne said … do what you need to do. We’ll wait. And we’ll pray for God’s steady presence for all affected.
