So much struggle in one area for marriages. I feel the miscommunication with my wife and I revolves around this idea of what sex means. For my wife, it feels like she views it as one more thing on a full plate. Kids, house, family, schedules, and sec is the dessert piece. Sometimes it’s a big piece, sometimes there isn’t much room and the dessert gets cut shorter – or no room. The spontaneous sex is gone because her mind is alway tangled with so many things in the plate.

For me, I feel like sex IS THE PLATE. We have the full plate of life together- but the sex is the value of everything being held together. It’s the wonderful foundation that keeps my busy portions connected, safe, protected from all the filth I wouldn’t want to eat off of!

So, how do we find the common ground? I guess I need to continue to read more in the here. We can’t give up. Thank you for your site and resources.
